Cancer – Improving the odds
Cancer is so common these days that many of us have been touched with it either affecting ourselves directly or someone close to us. Millions are spent each year to research and understand what causes cancer and how to affect a cure. Much of this money has been focused on the physical aspects of the disease and the development and testing of new drugs. However there has been ongoing research into the effect of thoughts and emotions on the development and reversal of the disease.
There appears to be a pattern that shows in many cases individuals that have developed cancer have had a significant emotional event prior to the onset of cancer that remained emotionally charged and unresolved. Our thoughts and emotions have also been shown to have a direct impact on the chemical environment our cells operate in and therefore how they respond and develop.
This exciting research has not only shown that our thoughts and emotional states can have a significant part to play in whether disease develops or not but that we can do something about it. This opens the door to treat cancer with an integrated approach that encompasses the mental, emotional as well as the physical aspects of cancer. Resolving the emotional event and releasing the trapped emotion has in many of these cases tipped the balance and the cancer has gone into remission or healed completely.
